College Magazine Front Cover

I was required to create a magazine front cover and contents page for the college magazine. Above I have provided both images of the contents page and front cover.

Front Cover Breakdown:
What I have tried to achieve with the front cover of the magazine is a very vibrant and fun look to the magazine by using different colours to keep the reader engaged and attract the persons eye. I have tried to introduce different fronts so the text is not plain and boring as well as introducing mild humour with a centred image of a student reading "Electoral Role for Dummies" as I introduced the student council elections. The title I have selected for the magazine is "The WearStudent"trying to build a similarity between Wear and We Are. I have also priced the magazine at a suitable £1 as through audience research I have found that students do not wish to spend large amounts of money on magazines.

Contents Page Breakdown
For my contents page I have gone for a green white and blue themed paper. I think the use of these colours are very good as it creates an appealing and fun look to the contents of the magazine. I have used 2 photos sourced from the internet and used them for articles 3 & 4. However the rest of the photos on this article I acquired myself. What I like about this contents page is that its very easy to navigate and find what you are looking for in the magazine. The heading of the contents page, I have used different fonts to make the page look different rather than the same boring text all the way through it.
